Michael Podguski is an accomplished analyst for the Tauri Group who provides knowledge and background on a variety of domestic and international policy trends. His experience includes analysis, research, and writing on a variety of policy issues ranging from organization structures within the cooperative threat reduction and arms control arena, to international terrorism and implications for both homeland security and national defense. Mr. Podguski has interfaced directly with a variety of stakeholders in departments and agencies throughout the defense and homeland security sectors in U.S. Government, and has an extensive wealth of knowledge and contacts within government regarding capabilities and responsibilities for Combating WMD (CWMD).  His work and analysis on nonproliferation and nuclear threat reduction has been featured in a number of policy publications and reports within the non-governmental sector – in addition to a number of government reports and studies stemming directly from his work with the Tauri Group.  He has also presented his findings and work on nonproliferation to government and international stakeholders at policy conferences around the U.S.  Additionally, Mr. Podguski provides policy support to senior U.S. government leadership within the Department of Homeland Security at the Department’s headquarters in Washington.  Prior to his work with the Tauri Group, Podguski was a Development Coordinator for the Cato Institute.  In this role, he successfully managed all aspects of the the Institute’s multi-million dollar Direct Mail program, acted as liaison for legacy-giving initiatives, and established Combined Federal Campaign giving initiatives within the Institute’s development portfolio. 

 

Mr. Podguski has been accepted to Masters degree programs at the London School of Economics, the George Washington University, and Georgetown University.  This fall, he will begin graduate studies at Georgetown University (while remaining full-time with Tauri Group), focusing on U.S. National Security Policy, Nonproliferation, and Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction. 

 

Presently, Mr. Podguski works in Washington, D.C., and lives in nearby Arlington, VA.
